The North Queensland Gas Pipeline (NQGP) is a strategically-vital 391-kilometre onshore natural gas pipeline system, with capacity to transport up to 108 terajoules of gas a day from the Moranbah Gas Project in the Bowen Basin to power and industrial uses in Townsville, Queensland.

The NQGP was commissioned in 2004 by the Queensland Government-owned corporate, Enertrade (Queensland Power Trading Corporation). The pipeline plays a key role in supplying energy to the rapidly growing economy of far north region of Queensland.

The Moranbah Gas Project is situated at the inlet of the pipeline. It is a significant coal seam gas project located in the Bowen Basin.

The NQGP comprises of a high-pressure pipeline from Moranbah to the Townsville Power Station, a lateral pipeline connecting the pipeline to the Stuart Industrial precinct, and delivery facilities at Yabulu and Stuart.
